I drink on occasion and am always looking forward to a fun night that presents the combination of drinks and good friends.</p> <p>Beer- the easiest drink to do consistently that allows you to party with or chill out. The first few times you drink it it does not taste right at all, I'm sure a lot of you can recall those first few nights downing beer when you'd close your eyes and just chug as much as you could, choking down the unbearable taste just so you could get the desired effects. Once you're used to it it's probably the most easy-going drink, which can create problems physically and health-wise when drinking in excess.</p> <p>Wine- actually this is the most easy going beverage, but you can't pound it like beer so it's not really the best choice when the plan is to drink just to get hammered. I love sipping on wine just to relax, as it actually takes less than beer to get me buzzing, and I like the taste better (for the most part, there's beer that's awesome and wine that sucks too).</p> <p>Hard A-<br /> Everyone has their preferred drinks and their drinks that make them want to vomit on scent alone.... well not initially, it takes a few bad experiences with an alcohol for it to ruin you.<br /> For example, I loved tequila at first, but a few nights in Mexico, Tequila did me wrongg, and I've never been able to take it down the same again.<br /> Here's my quick review of each:</p> <p>Vodka- the alcohol that is least likely to make me sick and easiest to take, that being said, it has put me on some badd benders before. Can't take too much in one gulp</p> <p>Rum- Always a pleasing mixer, probably the easiest of the alcohol's to take straight, but after a good rum night you can't go back too soon.</p> <p>whiskey- rough, but will get you plastered<br /> gin- rougher, gets you more plastered</p> <p>Jagermeister- Me and Jager used to be best friends... a couple rough nights in the old fraternity house and we couldn't be in the same room as each other... much like me and Tequila. Although recently I've become a big fan of Jager Bombs again...except for their outrageous price (seriously, wtf?)</p> <p>Lastly, I would just like to say that there is an "unwritten man rule" that you cannot enjoy a colorful or fruity beverage. No, bullshit. What many guys like to refer as 'chick drinks' are often simply delicious drinks... that's why chicks drink them, because they taste good. Although some girls out there are more straight forward with their drancing, most girls enjoy sipping on a nice-tasting drink to get the buzzing on the rise.<br /> Smirnoff Ice is bomb, it has more alcohol than beer and tastes like a sparked soda. I'm conmfortable with my manhood, I'll enjoy a tasty colorful beverage every now and then and enjoy the satisfaction. That being said... Kobe can play with broken bones and still win games with buzzer winning shots. And it is a bonus that Lakers can still beat teams with Mr. Bryant sidelined. However, Lakers couldn’t have gone as far as they did with their A List team without Magic back in the 80s and the same goes for the Lakers current situation-the star studded team aren’t taking home another title without Kobe. With Kobe, this 2010 team is close to sealing the deal for Lamar Odom to shoot another ESPN NBA Destination commercial of him dipping his tortilla chips in another Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy with guacamole and a heated nacho cheese tray in it-And you know Magic would be down for the sequel commercial. Maybe Magic will have a line in the sequel.</p> <p>As of today, the Cavs still have the best record in the NBA and Lebron James’ name is getting thrown around from sportscaster to sportscaster like a kickball is thrown from baseman to baseman in a third graders' game of kickball. And yes, he has everything to do with the Cavs sitting at top on their pretty little throne.</p> <p>Every day for the past year, every dam sports show keeps analyzing whether or not Lebron is going to stay after his contract is up in 2010. I think Lakers/Cavs in the Finals is a lock at this point, and that probably was the case before Jamison entered the LBJ fold. Still, Jamison is a guy that's going to put up good numbers when he's the primary scorer on a team, but he's not the Robin to LeBron's Batman. He's never been on a great team, never been passed the 2nd round of the playoffs, so in those crucial games when your under the brightest of lights and the pressure is on, is he going to be a guy that can step up when LeBron is suffocated by defense? I don't think so. On top of that, he's 33, and if the Cavs can't win it with him this year, you'd be hard-pressed to believe they can keep LeBron to make another run in the next few years.</p> <p>Dallas probably made the best move acquiring Butler, Haywood and Stevenson for relatively nothing. They gave up Josh Howard and cap room, but even that's not enough to win the West. You look at their lineup and say, wow, Kidd, Butler, Marion, Nowitzki, Haywood ... what a starting 5! But in reality, Marion's only success was as a garbage player in Phoenix. Somehow he thought going to another team would allow him to prove his worth, a la Joe Johnson leaving for the PHO for ATL, but he was the product of a system. Without Nash, he's a nobody. Butler has reverted back to "the other player" in the deal that sent Shaq to Miami for Odom, and the guy that the Lakers sent to Washington for Kwame Brown. </p> <p>I address these trades more in-depth than the other moves because these are the only teams who are relative contenders.</p> <p>People genuinely have to know their role in a system to be successful, and neither of these moves are going to put these teams over the top because these players have yet to acclimate to their new teams. The Lakers are established champions, have been there recently, and will continue to shine when it matters most. I like the fact that someone has the nerve to say the Lakers are better without Kobe. The only thing that's better is the ball movement, and that's because the world's best player isn't on the court. </p> <p>McGrady to the Knicks. PFFFT. Give him a month before that shoulder, or back, or knee tweaks and he's sitting on the sidelines ... again.</p> <p>The Kings moving Kevin Martin is the dumbest trade in the past few years. He and Tyreke Evans, with a little more time, would have been a great backcourt, Now, in another couple years, they're going to be looking for another dynamite scorer, and wondering what the purpose of getting rid of him for Carl Landry was when they already have Jason Thompson. I just don't get the point of that move at all. They're flooding themselves with Fs and Cs, while their best guards now, aside from Tyreke, are Beno Udrih and Francisco Garcia. They are a good team, they are well coached, and they know how to adapt in his absence. Take away Kobe, however, and they are no longer a championship team, I hate to say it but it's true. When it comes down to a grueling 7-game series, where each game pushes the team to the limit and needs someone to step up and take and make the big shots, If Kobe's not there that doesn't exist. </p> <p>Also, it looks like the trade deadline is going to pass without that major blockbuster trade happening. The Cavs got Antawn Jamiso, which is a good deal for them, but probably won't sway Lebron's decision to stay any, which is really what they needed to make happen, and it appears a 3-way deal will occur that sends Kevin Martin to the Rockets and T-Mac to the Knicks. I'm happy to see McGrady get another chance with a different team, but it seems like everytime a player goes to the Knicks to resurrect his career it turns out disastrous. I'd rather see him go to a contender that forces him to be a solid roll player instead of a team that will encourage him to be the star and take the big shots, because that is just not T-Mac's forte anymore. Next let me point out that the mavs have made a good deal but not a great one. I mean Butler is a solid player but I doubt that playing with Dirk and the (never gonna win a title) mavs will all of the sudden make him want to play like an All Star again. </p> <p>Now to the Lakers, Buss and the gang need to man up and just pull the damn trigger on the Kirk deal. Let's talk some B-ball folks.</p> <p>- Lakers are the team to beat, and the cool thing about that is nobody's gonna beat em.</p> <p>- Cavs have the league's best record, and with trade talk swirling looks like it might be the best team in the league coming down the stretch, adding the likes of Amar'e Stoudamire to the team might be a killer blow to the East.</p> <p>- The Mavs picked up Caron Butler in a 6-player trade, which will move them from the fourth best team in the West to the third best, see above for why it won't make much of a difference.</p> <p>- The Thunder, Hornets and Grizzlies have quietly assembled solid young squads, they will be stiff competition for some playoff contenders, but ultimately they won't get too out of the first round. But that's ok, because if they keep those young talented players together these are the teams you're going to start hearing about instead of the aging, down-swinging teams like the Suns and Spurs.</p> <p>- With half of Washington's team at the shooting range and the other half getting traded, they are officially in operation re-build at the moment, any Wizard fans plowing through the snow storm to continue attending games nightly is officially the most dedicated fans in sports of 2010.
